SNS-3515 RAID1

Hi there,

Customer is on the cusp of purchasing 2 x SNS 3515's for their ISE deployment.

Question came up and wondered if this is possible: the 3515 server comes with a UCSC-MRAID12G1 RAID card which according to the UCS220 spec guide supports RAID 0, 1 and 10 (no flash-backed write cache) so was wondering if we can purchase an additional disk and have RAID 1 setup.

I didn't see a specific ISE SKU for an additional disk (similar to what ASA with Firepower can have) and wasn't sure about having RAID1 inside the same server when it will be an active/standby deployment.

Would appreciate your thoughts!

Regards,

Arron

There is no support for modification to the existing setup for SNS appliances. In other words, new drives can not be added to expand the size. We do have spare part numbers for HDD, but it is just to replace defective HDD not to add in addition to the existing HDD:
