Fluidmesh 4500 MOBI - Industrial PoE/PoE+ Switch Recommendation

Hi Team,

What is the best option to choose a Cisco industrial switch that provides connectivity to Cisco Fluidmesh 4500 MOBI equipment? We need at least 12 available Ports with M12 X-code connector and at least 2 PoE/PoE+ Ports available.

Today we use IE2000-16Port switch. But these devices are EoL.

Any advice.

Thanks.

the IE-2000-16T67P has announced EOL. It has mostly D-code M12 connectors for fast Ethernet downlinks .  it has 2 M12 X-code connectors for Gigabit uplinks.  if you need all M12 X-code then you need the IE3400H.

i can't explain why your account manager recommended Ie-2000-16T67P.  it may have met your requirements?   perhaps he didn't know the IE-2000-16T67P was announced EOL?

hello,

the IE3400H is the only industrial Ethernet switch with M12 X-code connectors.  the 16 port model is the best fit. IE-3400H-16T-E or IE3400H-16T-A.   "-E' is for L2 feature set, and "-A" is for L3 routing feature set.  there's more details about differences in feature set in the datasheet.

the IE3400H does not provide PoE.  for PoE with IE3400H, you'll need an inline PoE power injector.

Albert,

Thanks a lot for your time to answer.

Recently I spoke with a local Cisco account manager about this. He says the best options for our dilemma is to use the IE-2000-16T67P-G-E with the additional power supply PWR-IE180W-67-AC=
Do you agree with that?

Another Question
The issue with the IE-2000-16T67P-G-E is the series have an E-O-L announcement ready and the replacement table says we need to use the IE3400H. Why did Cisco recommend a device with no PoE+ capabilities V/S the inferior series switch (EoL) with PoE capabilities ready series?
