Hi all,
In my understanding, there is only one part-number that covers both IPS Signatures and Advanced Replacement NBD for an ASA 5520 with AIP-SSM-10:
SP-SFA1-AS2A10K9
My question is: if my customer wants IPS Signatures and Advanced Replacement NBD for 3 years, do they have to buy 3 x SP-SFA1-AS2A10K9? And if the answer is yes, can they buy all 3 at once (that is, do they have do use them in a certain period from the time they were bought)?.
Thank you,
Lucian

Hi Lucian,
Not sure about your part number as it's not listed in the datasheet:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_data_sheet0900aecd80404916.html
However, my understanding is that when a customer buys an IPS service contract it starts from when the reseller registers the purchase with Cisco (which has to be done to allow the customer to request the license key).
I'm not sure about buying 3 years in advance - you'd have to check with your distributor or directly with Cisco.

Thanks, Andrew.
Do you know what is the difference between CON-SU1-AS2A10K9 and CON-SUO1-AS2A10K9 (per the datasheet)?

Ok, I got it, CON-SU1-AS2A10K9 is NBD and CON-SUO1-AS2A10K9 is ONSITE NBD.
So CON-SU1-AS2A10K9, for example, is valid for 1 year, right?
