Email notification in Cisco IPS - how to configure

Hi team,

How to configure email notification in Cisco IPs 4200.

I have the EV, and no cisco works.

Is it possible only thru cisco works ?

Email notifications are not supported on the IPS itself AFAIK. CiscoWorks does not work well for IPS, IME/IEV/CSM are the management applications for IPS boxes.

I have event viewer installed. Can you tell me how to configure notifications thry EV.

You can just click on Edit, Preferences, then check the enable email box. Type in your SMTP address, from address and recipient address. Choose what alerts you want to be notified (high, medium...). You can just tweak it as you need (changing the notification interal, content...etc). Hope this helps!
