Hi,

I have a new IPS-4240 were I cant get the managmet port to work, no green LED's.

The port is connected to a Catalyst 3750 and i have tried to change cabel and port, but with no luck.

I do get to set IP address on the interface, and I can ping my self, but not out to the def.gw.

Anyone seen this? Or have any tip on what to check before I call my rep.

Hello Mikael.

  1. Is either of the LEDs on the sensor's Management interface lit (amber or green, solid or flashing)? What about the switch port's LED(s)?
  2. Are both the sensor's Management interface _and_ the switch port set to Auto speed/duplex?
  3. You are using a straight through cable, right?
  4. How do the 'show interface' outputs from both the sensor and switch look?
