It is possible to do it from the CLI in cases where the FMC access is lost. (TAC can do this), but it is really recommended to have these updates done from the Firepower Management Center
When the case with TAC is been solved, you can very well ask the TAC engineer to explain the instructions once & also ask for the relevant documentation links the update is ben done perfectly.
Any TAC engineer would deny explaining the procedure.
