Will Cisco continue to support DC appliances or do customers that already have Defense Center appliances need to trash them, and go purchase the FMC appliances?
Also is the 3D8130 the same as the Cisco FirePOWER 8130? Just different naming?
For most Cisco products, we usually see an EoL document that lists all the EoL, EoS information and what the upgrade path is.
for the Sourcefire 3D3500, I've found the EoL, EoS information, but no upgrade path. What do we upgrade to?
Thanks,

Defense Center appliances continue to be supported until they individually have EoS / EoL announcements - just like all other Cisco products. Only the product name has changed.
That said, the DC750 and DC1000 may have slipped through the cracks. There was an EoS on the DC1500 and DC3500 and those other two products (750 and 1000) no longer show up in Cisco's ordering system. (Although you can still order a new service contract.)
I see that software version 5.4.1.1 is available for the older DCs.
The 3D8130 is just a rebranding. It's the same product underneath running the same software.
Upgrade for the Sourcefire 3D3500 would be along the lines of a Cisco FirePOWER 3D7125 or AMP 7150 (based on general number interfaces and throughput). However, your environment should be evaluated more closely to make a proper recommendation. We would take into interfaces required, account current and projected throughput, features used etc.
