2 port E1 card always Amber

Hi

I have 2921 router which has 2 port E1 card , I noticed that e1 card's LED light is always Amber, What is the reason for this ?

Check "show controllers E1".

E1 0/0/0 is down.

  Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced

  Transmitter is sending remote alarm.

  Receiver has loss of signal.

  alarm-trigger is not set

  Framing is NO-CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Line.

Both your ports are in down state and hence you are seeing the amber light. Are these connected to PSTN circuits? If these are, then you have them in down state. Layer1 is down. You dont need to bother about config this is layer1 issue(cabling related). If its a PSTN connection, speak to your provider.

No these two ports are not connected to PSTN lines, So getting amber always is normal ?

usually other FXO ports are not amber always while they not connected. !!!

Yes its normal if you have no circuit plugged into it.
