Hi,
Depending upon the router model you can calculate the DSP requirement for various functions using DSP calculator

Hi Manish
Can you please share the configuration steps as in below configuration there is no division command where we have break pvdm
1. enable
2. configure terminal
3. voice-card slot
4. dsp services dspfarm
5. exit
6. dspfarm profile profile-identifier {conference | mtp | transcode [universal]}
7. description text
8. codec codec-type
9. maximum sessions number
or
maximum sessions {hardware | software} number
10. associate application sccp
11. no shutdown
12. exit
13. gateway
14. timer receive-rtp seconds
15. exit

The "maximum sessions number" is the breakdown as transcoder and conference bridge only use hardware PVDM thus proper breakdown will occur based on what you assign. MTPs can be hardware or software, and it's recommended to use software (CPU based) in most cases as it handles almost all MTP requirement cases.

Just to add Chris here, when you assign the MTPs and Transcoders, always make sure you get the MTPs listed first, and then Transcoders, because Transcoders can also function as MTPs and will be consumed every time an MTP is needed.
Transcoders are more resource hungry than MTPs (Software based) and will deplete all of the Transcoders for MTP even though the actual intention may have to use MTP for MTP use

Sure, you simply build separate dspfarms and assign as many resources as you want and can to the conference, xcoders, and MTP profiles. MTP though can be built using IOS processing which most of the time is sufficient and would not require any PVDMs.
