2811 - %Error opening flash: (Device in exclusive use)

Hi Guys,

I am trying to extract the file ccpexpressAdmin_3_1_en.tar in the flash and am receiving the error message:

"%Error opening flash://ccpexp/CCPExpress_3.1_Open_Source_Documentation.html (Device in exclusive use)". I did the reload and reseat the  flash as indicated the fórum (https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/10064326/cant-read-flash), but, didn´t solve the problem.

The Gateway is running CallManagerExpress version 8.6

Any have Idea about what another troubleshooting is possible to do?

Hi tapiwav83,

This issue was a test that I was trying to do in my laboratory, but, didn´t worked. As the equipment not was coverage by support with Cisco and too not received any answer I aborted the activity. You tried to do upgrade about IOS or change the flash?

Ye have tried everything I know, erased flash , installed a new IOS _ used a different flash card did the same procedure but still get the same error message _ Out of ideas

Sorry, I don´t have more ideas. Do You have the contract with Cisco to can open a TAC?

what about exporting another tar file such as CME full files.

Actually after issuing the Format Flash:  all is well.Thanks again for trying to help me out.

I got this issue resolved.

Used Genunie Cisco Compact flash card.

Formatted the flash card and copied the ios files  back 

and was able to extract the CCPexp files to the flash
