2900 ISR G2 CME support

Compared with CISCO2811-CCME/K9, how about C2901-CME-SRST/K9 's performance on voice?

Hi Chong,

is there anything in particular you want to know?

The 2900 data sheet here gives the hardware details.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10537/data_sheet_c78_553896.html

compared to the 2800 series

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps5854/ps5882/product_data_sheet0900aecd8016fa68_ps5854_Products_Data_Sheet.html

but a couple of details comparing the two.

SRST/CUCME35 phones 144 DNs35 phones 200 DNs
PSTN Up to 3 T1s or 70 simultaneous callsUp to 4 T1s or 100 simultaneous calls

The exact number of simultaneous calls is dependent on the other roles of the router.

Thanks. How many DSP numbers for PVDM3-16?Where is detailed datasheet for PVDM3? I  know PVDM2-16 has only one DSP.

No problem,

the datasheet for the PVDM3 is available at

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps3115/data_sheet_c78-553971_ps10537_Products_Data_Sheet.html

I believe that the DSP calculator has also been updated to support the PVDM3s also

What's 100 simultaneous calls ? 35 phone can support this?

Hi,

well technically speaking, 35 phones can support 100 simultaneous calls but the users would be pretty busy.

What I actually meant was that 35 phones can be supported in CME or SRST, that is, 35 phones registered directly to the ISR.

The 100 simultaneous calls relates to the E1 or T1 DS0 capacity.  If your phones (any number) are registered to a CUCM server and you're using the ISR as a PSTN gateway then it supports having 100 calls to the PSTN, anything more than that and you're overloaded the gateway.

Please remember to rate helpful posts.

Thanks again. 100 calls is refered to outside PSTN line? 35 phone is registered with local IP phone under CME, is it right?

No problem at all,

Yes, that is right.

Paul
