2911 GUI issue with CUE / CME

So I ordered a 2911 with all the voice modules and licenses preloaded on it.

This is a list of thing that have gone wrong

1. The CUE firmware loaded is 8.5.1 the CME version is 10.5 according to the official Cisco matrix I need at least 8.6.7 before 10.5 is supported.

2. The Cisco Config Express 3.2 installed does not work. That suppose to be the latest version of CCPEXP but when I open up the GUI when I click on any module, it will just lead to a white blank screen. Tried multiple browsers and computers with same result.

3. The CME GUI installed is very odd. Using the standard http://ip_address/ccme.html the browser says the connection is refused. However when I goto http://ip_address/telephone_service.html a really old version of CME GUI comes up, version 8.0 but none of my SIP DN nor phones show up at all.

4. The Cisco TAC sent me the 10.5 GUI, which is about 0.8MB big, I extracted it on the router under a folder called cme. When going in there with http://ip_address/cme/telephony_service.html it only displays one word "View Window" with nothing else to it.

5. No one seems to be able to answer my question of "does CUE GUI depend on CME GUI in order to work?"

The whole point to order product in a preconfiged package is to save troubles like this. But this entire experience have been very counter intuitive.

Thanks in advance to anyone that will help me.

You may check below things..

1. First upgrade CUE atleast upto 8.6.7, this doesn't require any upgrade license so just you need to download file from cisco.com and just upload it on CUE module.

2. Make sure that you have extracted CME GUI files in flash (IMP**) and define the path (e.g. ip http path flash:/gui).

3. Put this "file privilege 0" command in CME and check GUI.

for anyone that is searching for answers, this is what I got:

You need to upgrade the CUE firmware. I don't know what Cisco is thinking loading a firmware that is not compatiable.

2. Config Express does not work and CIsco advised on reload the CCPE gui files. Voice have nothing to do with it. So it should be fine.

3. Was told CME GUI only supports SCCP phones, no SIP phones shows up under CME GUI.

5. The CUE GUI uses the information to pull phones and dn from the CME GUI. WIthout it, it will work but you will have to manually create the voicemails and dns on CUE. So if you use SIP phones this feature is not available to you.
