4.2.1 unity distribution list

Adding users to new 4.2.1 unity server. SA creates users, but displays following

'subscriber created but not added to distribution list due to error'

Is there a canned generic PDL?

Yes look at your subscriber template. You will see a configuration for distribution lists.
