We have a customer that was running callmanager 4.1 and 7921 phones with 3 AP's AIR-AP1121G-E-K9
For many years this was working fine.
Now we have moved all the devices to the new CUCM 9.1.2, and after the firmware upgrade of the phones, we have issues with the 7921.
When we switch the 7921 on, it registers to the closest AP and works.
When walking around with the phone and when it looses the AP, it can't register to the next closest AP, we receive an error something like "Connection failure"
When we stand still, switch the phone off and switch it on again, it will connect immidiatly to the closest AP.
Has anyone seen this? and is this an AP issue, or an 7921 issue?
Must the CUCM be compatible with an AP???
All AP's have the same SSID and security config.

Hmmmm ... Make sure your 792XG phones are loaded with, AT LEAST, 1.4(3)SR1 firmware.
Starting with this version roaming is significantly improved.

The problem was solved by upgrading the AP's to the latest IOS.
