I have bunch of Cisco 7940g phones I would like to upgrade to from Sccp to Sip. I have managed to upgrade some phones with no problem, but others I have failed to upgrade. I have the the right software from cisco which I have used to upgrade the working ones, BUT there seems to be a problem on the phones. The notable thing on the phones that cannot be upgraded it that when you press settings there is a limited amount of options compared with the the ones that I was able to upgrade. the only options available are ,Contrast,Ringtype,Network Configuration and Status. Where as there successfully phones have many other options. I also note that on LCD Copyright is 2000. where on the sucessfull phones it states 2000-2007.
I have tried different images from ver 3 to ver 8 but I still come out empty. Below is the log file from Tftpd32 log for the unsuccessful phones. I have also tried renaming the files to to match the ones below with error CREATE file but no luck. and Suggestions.
