7942 IP Phone not registering

       I have a 7942 IP phone at branch site but the phone is not registering to the CUCM version 8.6.

CUCM says status as Rejected. Tried firmware upgrade as well but no luck.

Do you have a custom phone button template on this phone in CUCM? If so, try setting it to a build-in phone button template!
Sounds strange, but I've seen this as being a reason not to register. It turned out to be CUCM db corruption.

Please find below the information about reason code 27

27CapabilityResponseTimeout - (SCCP only) Unified CM timed out while waiting for the device to respond to a request to report its media capabilities. Possible causes include device power outage, network power outage, network configuration error, network delay, packet drops, and packet corruption. It is also possible to get this error if the Unified CM node is experiencing high CPU usage. Verify that the device is powered up and operating, verify that network connectivity exists between the device and Unified CM, and verify that the CPU utilization is in the safe range (you can monitor this via the CPU Pegging Alert in RTMT).
