Hey guys,
Came across an interesting issue (interesting to me anyways).
User is using her 7242G phone. When she calls someone, it continuously rings, and then eventually says 'ring out'. These people then call her back asking why she hung up on them.
Also, sometimes when people call her, the conversation disconnects.
I have checked her phone settings, and they match the rest of the 7942's, both in the phone config, and the DN config.

Sounds like a faulty hook-switch to me....

The button that the handset sits on, on the phone.
You can check this as a possible cause and answer hands-free by pressing the "Speaker" button. If that answers fine, it's most likely the hook-switch in the phone.

Gotcha. But her problem is that she calls people, and her phone continuously rings. Not the people receiving the calls. The people receiving the calls pick up and can talk, but she cant hear them. She just hears the phone ringing.

Start mentionoing phone system and version you're using.
Note, " phone ring" you are saying, it called "ringback tone".
