7945 and 7965 phone type not showing up

I have CCM 5.1.2. I am trying to add the new phone type to register the new phones 7945 and 7965. I download the file and loaded it restart TFTP but the phone type is not showing up. I don't want to reboot ... unless it is necessary. Can anybody tell me why the type is not showing up.

You will have to download the latest ES for CM 5.1.2 from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/CUCM-ES5X and install that on the box to be able to add the new generation phones.

Also, this would require a reboot.

You could download the readme for it. That should mention, it had support for the new generation phones

You need to download the device pack so that the new phones show up in the call manager admin page
