7960 iP Phone Dial Incompeletely

Hello.

I have Cisco 7960G IP Phone that registered in CUCM 10.5.2 .

I define some of directory numbers with urgent priority eg. 2248. when someone tries to dial a number like 22485631 in phones except 7960, if he first types the numbers in on-hook state and then presses dial button on the phone, phone dials complete number (22485631) normally as it expects.

But in 7960 phone, when we are in above situation (type full number 22485631 in on-hook state and then press dial button), it dials 2248 except 22485631.

What should i do to avoid dialing 2248 except 22485631 on ip phone 7960G ?

Thanks

Hi,

Which protocol are you using on 7960 phone?

Remember that 7960 are Type-B phones and they have KPML dtmf enabled by default while running SIP.

Please let me know

Carlo

I am using SCCP.

I Tested SIP Protocol and it was working. but i want use sccp.

Isn't there any way to fix this problem on sccp?

It is doing what it is designed to do

It dials digit by digit and your urgent pattern triggers an immediate call completion

Don’t set it urgent then and wait for timeout or don’t overlap your dial plan

The 7960 is long EoL - replacing it would also eliminate that being an issue
