We've taken delivery of a batch of 7962s with V15 hardware revision. We're noticing some strange behaviours with them. One thing we've seen (although not always) is sometimes the phone will try to re-image itself and fail with a message of "Load rejected HC". According to
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7962g_7961g_7961g-ge_7942g_7941g_7941g-ge/8_0/english/administration/guide/62614241vie.html this means the firmware doesn't match the hardware.
We currently have 9.2(3) firmware as our default for the phones. In the release notes for 9.3(1), I can see no mention of explicit requirement of this firmware version for the V15 hardware revision.
Has anyone else seen similar things before ?

Hi Gordon,
You need to install firmware 9.3.1 SR1 on your TFTP servers to address this issue. This issue has been reported e few times in recent days.

How did you get to that release note? The one from the firmware image doesn't mention this at all
