7965 IP Phone fails to register

     Hi all,

I have a problem with the registration of a two IP phones - 7965 and 7961. The problem is exactly the same so I will describe it only for one of the devices.

CUCM we use is running 7.1(5a)

The IP phone is new to this cluster and it used to work with a client CME with SCCP45.8-5-4S firmware. After adding the phone manually (due to enabled security) to the cucm it cannot load. When it boots up it displays 'Upgrading' for about 5s... finds the correct default firmware and then fails with 'Auth' failure and then it reboots. This repeats constantly. I have used local PC as a tftp server, tried with different versions of the firmware but the problem is the same. It has the same behaviour nomather what I change. Any ideas?

The firmware that I would try to load as a first step is plain old 8.5.2

no SR1.
