8831 Conferencestation MD5 shared Secret for 802.1x

Hello, we use the 8831 with 802.1x. I could not find where i can enter the MD5 shared secret within the Phones security settings.

Under security setup - 802.1x Authentication  i only can enable Device Authentication and check the Transaction Status.

There is no way to enter the Password.

we use the latest Firmware 9-3-3-5

Does anyone have a hint?

Hello Michael,

8831 phone only supports EAP FAST and EAP TLS methods and thus do not support the EAP MD5.

"Cisco Unified IP Conference Phone 8831 implements the IEEE 802.1X standard by providing support for EAP-FAST and EAP-TLS authentication.”
