We are having issues with 8831 wireless mics due to DECT 6.0 frequency. Our 8831 phone region by default is set as North America which is using DECT 6.0 with frequency 1920- 1930 MHz which as per service provider is interrupting the 3G signals. We would like to change the region to local so that it uses DECT with Europe frequency.
When researching about this issue, it is found that changing the region is possible only on firmware version sip8831.10-3-1SR2-2 and we are on sip8831.9-3-3-5.
While upgrading the to sip8831.10-3-1SR2-2 it is failing.
Please let me know the correct procedure as it is mentioned doing the incorrect upgrade might lock DECT settings and will require RMA.I am listing down the steps below .Please correct me if I am wrong.
++Install cmterm-8831-sip.9-3-3-TO-10-3-1-v2.k3.cop.sgn on all TFTP CUCM servers and then restart the TFTP service.
++upgrade the 8831 phone to 8831-sip.9-3-3-TO-10-3-1-v2.k3.
++Install cmterm-8831-sip.10-3-1SR2-2EU.k3.cop.sgn on all TFTP CUCM servers and then restart the TFTP service.<-----------------Firmware is for European region.
++upgrade the phone to 8831-sip.10-3-1SR2-2EU.k3.
++ Change the MIC region settings to Europe.
Please correct me if I am wrong or missing any steps.Your help is appreciated.
