8841 ip phone - 4 way cluster navigation button back light is not going off

We have a 8841 Cisco IP phone, on it display light idle time is configured. It is turning off as expected, however 4 way navigation button turns on as soon as display light goes off.  On phone configuration, no setting available for navigation light? is there any way to turn it off? Please suggest.

No, there is no way to change that.

Same issue for 8851. Our users do not need or want a night light while the device is dimmed, in fact they want it completely dark.
