8851 with Multiplatform Firmware upgrade failed

Hi, i have a cp-8851 with firmware sip-88xx.10-3-1-20, and i want to upgrade to Multiplatform Firmware sip88xx.11-2-1MPP-630.loads

When phone tries to upgrade, fails with: Inactive load: sip88xx.11-2-1MPP-630

I want to use this phone with Asterisk, i don't have CUCM. Btw, i can't access to admin module in phone through web (https://xx.xx.xx.xx/admin/ doesn't work for me and i can't find an access to that admin module)

Other upgrades works (for example i updated to sip88xx.12-1-1SR1-4)

How can i upgrade to this firmware? Thank you very much

You cannot, there's no way from enterprise FW to MPP or viceversa.

There is no config GUI for phones with enterprise FW

Do you have any idea why 8851 isn't working? I can post more logs or what you need

Thank you

This error message is saying that the phone is looking for a CUCM server.  So this means the phone is already loaded with Enterprise firmware.

Do you have the following:

1.  SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml file;

2.  Dialplan.xml file;

3.  DHCP Option 150; and

4.  TFTP server

That's because i was trying to upgrade to multiplatform firmware

1.  SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml file attached (similar to other conf's working with 7970's)

2.  Dialplan.xml file attached (generic, but working with 7970's)

3.  DHCP Option 150, i don't have this, but i configured phone with TFTP server static, it's enough?

4.  TFTP server: working with 7970's and it's the same ip

Thanks

First, this will get rejected by the phone itself.  Put the Enterprise firmware in here.

Next, you said you've got config for a working 7970?  Use that.  This config has a lot of relevant missing lines.

Otherwise, use Google to look for a known working SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml file.

Let us know how you go.

If you want the phone to work with Asterisk, you'll need to prepare the following:
1. A valid SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml file;
2. A valid dialplan.cnf file;
3. Firmware for the phone;
4. TFTP server; and
5. DHCP Option 150

Hi, thank you for your reply

So, should this enterprise firmware (sip-88xx.10-3-1-20) work with Asterisk?

Because i'm trying but always get an "unprovisioned", having SEPmacaddress, dialplan, sip-88xx.10-3-1-20 fw, TFTP server and static config in the phone for the tftp server

Thank you
