8941 phone and background image

Anyone knows if it is possible to change the background image on the 8941 phone?

Hello,

No you cannot change it.

If you to the following link:

you will see that you can change the ring tones and idle Display, but there is no option for changing the background which means cannot be done.

If you go for another type of IP Phone lets say 8961 and open the document "administration guide" you will see that its changeable.

Something is not right here. According to the spec sheet for the 8941, it says, possibly incorrectly:

Co-branding

Co-branding allows you to include your logo on the Cisco Unified IP Phone 8945.

Again this is what it says on the 8941 spec (yes, it says 8945 on the 8941 spec sheet!)

So what is the correct answer? Is it brandable with a backdrop or not? Is the 8945 brandable and not the 8941? Can we get someone from Cisco to answer?

Co-branding is an actual logo on the phone itself not a background image on the display. I think it is something you can do when you order the phone. Like another label similar to the Cisco Logo at the top of the phone.

The 8945 and 41 do not allow for custom background images.

Hello,

Cisco released new firmware 9.2.3.5 and on this version you can change the background images and even you can insert your own background.

I already installed our company background logo to all our phone, but I want to know if someone know how I can force this background to all users phones, on other word how can I put the company background logo as default?

Upgraded the 8941 phone firmware to 9.2.3.5 however the phone is not picking up the background image. It 

just waits like it is trying to download something but nothing shows up on the screen.

I have the verified the following:

- correct image specs

- correct List.xml

- correct directory

- restarted the TFTP service

Is anyone experiencing the same issue?
