8945 Phone and UCCX

Hi,

I have a customer who is deploying Cisco UC at one of their sites (they already have it at several others) and they like the look of the new 8945 phones.

The main problem is that these are not listed as supported by UCCX 8.5(1) which they will also be using.

Realistically it will be two months before the deployment starts. Does anyone know if a new version of UCCX (8.5(2) I guess) will appear in this time frame and whether it will provide support for the 8945?

Failing that has anyone successfully tried using 8945 phones with UCCX 8.5(1)?

James - what did you end up doing here?  Looks like SCCP is supported as of 8.5(1)SU1 but not SIP yet as of 9.0(1).

Can anybody at Cisco tell me what the hold up is for 8945 SIP support on UCCX?
