8961 Expansion Module and Call Transfers

Brett Williston

Hi,

Is there a way to transfer calls using the stored numbers in the expansion module on a 8961?

I touch the TRANSFER hard key and then a stored number on my expansion module but the softkey for TRANSFER doesn't pop up.

I am very new to our cisco system so please bear with me if this doesn't make much sense.

Thank you.

What is the CUCM/CME version?

What is the firmware version that the 8961 is using?

Hi Bret,

Yes, it there a way. Follow this instructions:

1.With a phone call established, press the Transfer hard key.

2. The New Call tab will appear

3. Press a stored number on the expansion module.

I already tested this a minute ago on CUCM 8.5 so it should work. If not, maybe you're hitting some firmware bug.

Tried that and no luck.

We have only had this system for 3 weeks so I am a newbie.

Are you running CUCM or CME?

CUCM 9.1.1

It should work too. Have you try upgrading the phone firmware?

You are probably hitting the bug: CSCud07738. The fix is to downgrade to 9.3.1.33.

Good luck!

That bug is currently under review for publishing on Bug Toolkit. You will have to wait for a altenative walkaround.

I had the same issue with my 8961 and KEM module running on 9.1.2 with the phone load sip8961.9-3-2-10

. I upgraded the phone load to the latest code, sip8961.9-4-1-9, and the problem is fixed.
