911 and Mobility

Hello,

in Communications Manager 9.x and above is there a way to compensate for 911 calls when a user is at a location other than where their DID resides WITHOUT having Cisco Emergency Responder deployed?

Example.   Jabber user resides in Office A but travels to Office B.  User needs to call 911 but when they dial I would think the call would go out the gateway in Office A instead of locally out Office B.

Thanks in advance!

One option is to use Local Route Groups. See the link below. This allows you to configure one set of route patterns, route lists, etc. which use the local route group configured on the device pool assigned to the phone to choose the local gateway to route calls.

If Jabber is controlling a phone, yes. If Jabber is being used as a softphone there is no way to do this without ER to my knowledge.

Thanks.  Can you give me a high level overview on how this will happen if Jabber is controlling a phone?
