911 Busy

Our setup was done by a vendor and worked well. All of the sudden 911 calling stopped working. We get an immediate busy signal. I talked with our telco provider and they tell me they can't replicate it so it must be our equipment. I am looking for troubleshooting ideas. So far I have checked call routing patterns, CER, CDR, RTM, and the gateway. Everything I am looking at seems to show we are calling 911. CER is sending all the proper alerts and the call appears to be hitting the proper dial peer on the gateway.

 

I attached a picture of our route pattern.

I have been trying to pic through this, but I am not too sure what I am looking for. To me it appears as though the call is getting routed to CER and then sent out the gateway as 911. All regular calling is working fine though. Thank you to anyone who can help provide insight.

Hello,

 

I'm guessing your CER is prefixing 7851 to the 911 dial string on the way back from CER then your Route Group must be discarding the predot as it gets sent back to your gateway. Can you attach a screenshot of your TECH-ONLY route group?

 

Can you also run a 'debug isdn q931', place a call and attach the results?

Tanner: I agree, the debug isdn q931 is going to be really helpful. Also, a debug voip ccapi inout would be too.

It kind of smells like one of those instances where the gateway is sending redirecting IE delivery on outbound, and CER does use that field, but most telcos will reject a 911 call that appears to be forwarded/redirected to them, as opposed to called directly.

OP: Can you also post your H323 Gateway page setting CUCM for this gateway as it pertains to the outbound redirecting deliver setting?
