Active/Inactive Phone Load

I have a "just double checking" kind of question.  Does swapping the active/inactive phone loads in CUCM Device Defaults cause the phones to reboot and get the new firmware?  I have the new firmware staged and ready to swap but wanted to double check that swapping the inactive load to the active load would not cause the phones to reboot.

Tony,

 

No, a reset or a restart of the phones would be needed to tell the phone to look for different firmware.
