Hi all,
Can i use the Cisco Video Conference Bridge(IPVC-35xx) (Meeting Place) to use an ad-hoc audio conference?
I successfully registered the conference bridge to the CUCM . But the conference fails . Below the scenario:
-Phone A (Device pool A , region A ) calls phone B ( same DP and region)
-Phone B begins a conference with phone C (Device pool C , region C) : remote site with SRST GW.
- Conference Fails
*Codec between region A and Region C is G.729.
I don't have DSP ressources on my SRST GW to configure DSPfarm etc... and i know that the software conference bridge are not working for a non G.711 calls.
I though that the Cisco Video Conference Bridge(IPVC-35xx) will resolve this issue. am i wrong ?
Thank you in advance

establish a SIP trunk between IPVC-3515 and UCM cluster to provide dial-in bridge functionality
Docs for your reference.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answer.
We have a Meeting place express installation . No hardware MCU. We already have a sip trunk between CUCM and Meeting place.
