adding 7821 on CUCM v 8.0

Hi,

 

We just bought a brand new 7821 Phone and wanted to test it internally in our labs.

and i attempt to register it and i couldn't find in phone type model 7821

you need to add device pack of this phone to be added in CUCM

Note- after installation cluster wide restart necessary.

Compatibility of 7821 starts from CUCM version 8.5.

Datasheet says u need to have CUCM min. version as 8.5.1 for 78XX series IP phones.Device Pack is not going to help.

That model is not compatible with 8.0

 

You can upgrade CUCM to 8.6 but it means additional costs for your customer cause 8.0 is END of Support from 2014.
