AIM Module Detection Issue on 2801

I installed an AIM-CUE module on my 2801.

When I powered the router with the cover off the router, the light on the AIM module illuminated.

The IOS I am using is c2801-ipvoicek9-mz.124-15.xy5.bin

The command I used to detect the AIM module was show inventory.  I was expecting it to show "AIM Service Engine" somewhere.

I also unplugged the router and tried both AIM Slot 0 and AIM Slot 1 positions on the 2801 board.  Neither seem to give me any indication that the AIM Module is being detected.

Is there anyway to do a diagnostics test on the AIM Module?

Am I missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly.

hi Edward,

According to compatibility matrix   the minimum IOS requirement you should be on for 2801 is....

12.3(8)T4 - AIM CUE

12.4(22)YB4, 12.4(24)T - AIM2-CUE

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/compatibility/cuecomp.htm

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Karthik

Thank you for your response.

I finally figured out what the problem was.

I had to tighten the AIM-CUE mounting screws extra hard for it to be detectable.

It is working fine now, and thank you for your help.
