analog line in FXO port of analog GW then sip connected to CUCM: generic question

Hi all,

I have an analog/SIP voice GW(Patton) with FXO port connected to public land line.

On this analog GW, I have also analog sets connected to FXS ports.

This GW is sip-connected to CUCM 12.5.1: on which I have hundreds of SIP phones

Questions:

1°) For outbound calls thru this analog line, this FXO analog trunk can be used by ALL phones of the installation, either SIP or analog : YES/NO?

2°) For inbound calls thru this analog line, this FXO analog trunk can ring ONLY 1 phone of the whole installation, that I need to map to the default incoming of the analog line (or the whole public number): YES/NO?

Or can it ring any phone of the installation? I guess no because analog dont do DDI like E1/T1...

THX

JULIEN

1) Up to you and your configuration.

2) You configure the connection PLAR to which that FXO will send the call, it can be anything in your deployment, suggest you spend some time searching for FXO configuration examples.
