Hi, I have a polycom connecting to the fxs port of a CME router.

seems like i am not able to initiate conference with that polycom even i have conference resource configured.

I did some research saying only SCCP and MGCP gateway can do?

thanks.

The FXS port would need to be SCCP controlled. See the following links for details on the supplementary features offered by SCCP controlled FXS ports as well as a configuration example.

thanks Brandon, but I wonder how can I configure the DN on it with SCCP?

mine is a cme, not a mgcp gateway.

Use the destination-pattern command on the dial peer. Gateway does not need to run MGCP.

dial-peer voice 3 pots

destination-pattern 1234
service stcapp
port 0/1/0

but we cannot config service stcapp when destination-pattern is configured on a dialpeer, right?

I know how to set it up now, need to configure the mac address and add it as a normal ephone.

but the conference button still not working.

do you think I need to set up the stcapp feature codes or I still miss anything?

thanks.

Configure it as a normal ephone of the type anl

already configured it as a normal ephone, but whenever I pressed the conference button, it just cannot make the second call.

I'm not sure the conference button will work, but you should be able to initiate a conference using the steps in the Supplementary Services doc:

"User in basic call mode presses hookflash to get the first dial tone, then dials an extension number to connect to a second call. When the second call is established, user presses hookflash to get feature tone and then dials #3 to initiate a three-party conference"
