Assistance with setting up an H323 Gateway on a 3945 Router

We are having issues setting up an H323 Gateway on our 3945 Router. To route calls from my PSTN to CUCM.

I have found multiple documents, relating to this issue, we have also updated it to be exactly the same. 

The ip address on CUCM and my gateway loop back match and port 1720 is open.

I want to set it up to only accept calls not to dial out on hence only one dial peer.

The called party number being received on the gateway is 0112029999. Couple of things you need to check on the gateway config on CUCM:

>> Do you have the exact '0112029999' DN configured on CUCM ? if yes, then make sure that the 'Significant Digits' setting for inbound calls on gateway page on cucm is set to 'All'. If the called party is configured as a 5 digit extension on cucm then set it to 5, just an example.

>> Check the Calling Search Space setting on the same gateway page for Inbound calls, make sure that this CSS has access to the partition of the called number, 0112029999 in this case. Best way to test is by setting the partition on the called number as None.

>> To rule out any codec mismatch issues , make sure you have the same type of codec specified on dial-peer as well as the the region setting between IP phone and Gateway on cucm, if there is a mismatch then you need to have transcoders in the MRGL of these devices.

Reset the gateway or phone if you make any changes on them and test again.

Hi Manish,

We use 5 digit DN's in our CUCM environment. The Gateway significant digits is set to 5. 29999 is a DN that exists in CUCM.

29999 is in a "none" partition. The gateway is able to reach it.

Our codecs do match and I have Transcoding and MTP dspfarm profiles on the router anyway that are registered and applied to the GW.

Well, if the config is all good then probably you can try a restart of the callmanager service and a gateway reset from cucm. If the issue persists you should get the detailed callmanager services traces to see how cucm is handling the call.

We have sorted out incomming Voice Calls on the Router.
We are now struggling with the Video portion, to make Video Calls over ISDN. Do you have any idea on how to do this or something similar.
