They had a campus operator running Attendant Console simply to route calls easily to users in the directory. Nice setup, touch-screen monitor, worked perfect.
Since Cisco yanked the stand-alone service out in 8.x I need an alternative for the customer. Can Assistant Console be configured to behave the same way?
The operator console has 5 lines for incoming calls to their main number. They need to answer, search a directory, hold and transfer calls.
It requires a separate server and lists for over $3,000. IQNetSolutions has a replacement client product. Still hoping that maybe Assistant Console offers similar functionality and can be tweaked to do simple, quick call routing to directory entries.
CUEAC isn't bad. Simple to use but only pulls user list from CUCM-will not import speed dials from 'old' AC console.
