I'm using cisco router 2901. What is the configuration to be done on the router for the CME and also for the asterisk. I've installed asterisk on linux ubuntu 64-bit on oracle virtualbox.
Please can anybody give me the configurations to be done on both in order to make calls by connecting each other. For the softphones I'm using X-lite and zoiper.

High level implementation and it easy to test.
create a SIP Trunk on both the vendors and register each other.
So * will register cisco, Cisco register *, so you have both the SIP communication up
create a dialplan to route the call from cisco to * and vice versa
Many real world example posted, spend 15min you can nail the issue easily.

Can you tell me how to register it * and CME on each other ? If any configuration is available then it would be helpful.
Thank You.

In this document I have a confusion. In the asterisk config, do I have to create separate files for out-ccme, ccme, vm, phones, etc. ?
