ATA 186 CUCM version 11

Hi,

is the ATA 186 supported on CUCM version 11? If not, which similar product is supported?

According to the following link, the ATA 186 was compatible with 10.x, but was not tested or guaranteed full support - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/10_x/cucm_b_compatibility-matrix-cucm-imp-10x.html#CUCM_RF_C0D1197F_00

The compatibility matrix for 11.x does not specifically mention the 186. However, it is not listed in the deprecated phone models section. There is also this note:

"Unless they are specified in the "Deprecated Phone Models" list, phone models that are End of Software Maintenance will continue to be supported on the latest Unified Communications Manager releases. However, they will not take advantage of any new Unified Communications Manager or firmware features associated with that release."

So, it appears that it is supported, but has not been fully tested.

Hi Guys,

I've just upgraded/migrated a customer from 6.1.3 to 11.5, and everything has worked except the ATA186s. I cannot get them to register with CUCM. I've tried forcing the TFTP to the new server, but it still fails.

Current version of ATA is 2.14, and the version in device defaults is 3.2.4. I have tried to reinstall the cop file for this, but get the error saying it's not compatible with this version.

Has anyone actually got one working on 11.5 yet?

Top man Brandon. Luckily I had the old cluster running 6.1.3 still powered up. Put the latest firmware on it, swung the ATAs over, let them upgrade, swung them back to the new cluster and all working.

The ATA 186 works very nicely under CUCM 11.0. The current equivalent product to the ATA186 is the ATA190.

What firmware version are your ATA's running? Getting prepared for a CUCM 8x to 11x upgrade and looking over all my loaded firmware.

Current - 3.2.3 - ATA030203SCCP051201A
Latest - 3.2.4 - ATA030204SCCP090202A

Yes, as stated before, only devices that show as deprecated devices on the 11.5 and 12.0 RN have been removed from the drop-down.

Am facing the same which you had discussed above.

CUCM was migrated from 6.5 to 11.5, all phones are working fine in 11.5, except ATA 186 for fax service.

Current version of ATA-186 in 6.5 is  ATA030204SCCP090202A , but  it is registered as unknown in 11.5

let me know about the firmware which you had uploaded in 6.5 for ATA 186 ...
