ATA 186 - No light at all

Hello,

I was trying to upgrade the firmware with sata186us.exe on my ATA 186 via network on my Windows XP machine. I tryed the transition.zup file by executing the command "sata186us transition.us -d1 -any2" on the DOS console.

After that I inserted the 100#192*168*0*56*8000# code so that it had access to my computer for an upgrade. After I got the following log:

192.168.0.244 H=00000301 S=0400 V=0301 T=00 'ata000c854373a9 0100 0001 1'

Begin uploading code to 192.168.0.244 (Tue Jun 05 11:44:56 2012) ...

Done uploading code to 192.168.0.244 (Tue Jun 05 11:44:59 2012)

My problem is that I don't get any IVR or light on the ATA 186, only an half second distortion when I pickup the phone plugged on the

port phone 1 . And yes I already tryed with a different phone / rj11 cable.

I was trying to upgrade from v3.1.2atah323 with the package available on ata_03_02_03_sccp_051201_a.zip (

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=269214024&softwareid=282074215&release=3.2%284%29&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest )

Can anyone please help me regarding this issue?

Thanks for your time.

Can you see network activity from your ATA?

If you connect a PC and use a packet capture tool like wireshark, can you capture  datas from ATA?

DHCP, TFTP, CDP?

If no,  I think in a damaged firmware.

Regards.

Do you try the zupinfo.exe tool?

Using "zupinfo.exe" program for Windows / DOS

======================================================================

If an ATA software image has had its original factory name changed, and

the original name is no longer known, this program may be used to

recover the original name from the image itself.  Place this program

and the image in question in a directory, and at the command line enter:

C:\> zupinfo

The correct image name will be returned.

If it doesn't work, probably the firmware is damaged.

Regards.
