Hello,
We are using ATA 186 on branch officies for Analog Voice Communication with Call Manager.
When you lose the main line branch, the device works on srst mode.
However, the situation when the main line up again, do not register to Call Manager and remains register on SRST.
Is this a problem with ATA186 KeepAlive packets?
How can we provide the solution?

Please check the firmware version of ATA and make sure its compatable with CUCM and Gateway in SRST.
You need to be 3.2(4) firmware if you are running CUCM 5.X or higher
Please see the link below

I am running into the same issue.
Got the latest ATA186 frimware running (3.2(4) with SCCP) and a 2811 with 12.4(24)T5 and a CUCM 7.1.3. So they should be compatible. Other Phones (7945, 7965) register back to the callmanager but these ATA's stay in SRST mode unless they are manually resetted.
Other ideas how to solve this problem?

I found a solution:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-5218
I had only one Port in use, so i disabled the other Port with SID1=0 and after that the CM Transistion worked without a problem.
Alternatively you would probably configure the second port on callmanager with a dummy dn as you might oversee or forget this setting on the ATA Webinterface and would run later into the problem to get a device registered on that 2nd port.
