On an ATA 190 in CCMAdmin on CUCM 9.1(2)SU2, under the Product Specific part of the device configuration, there's a parameter called "Modem Line". I can't find any mention of this in the ATA manual, and the CCMAdmin help page has no mention either.
Any suggestions as to what this means?

Hi Gordon,
Did you ever find out what this setting does?
Also have you ever got a data modem to work using an ATA190? - I have a customer with a franking machine attached to one and it is not working.
Thanks

I got my hands on firmware cmterm-ata190.1-1-1-003 which fixes the major issues with the ATA190. It's only taken Cisco a year to release a firmware that works :-/

If you set this parameter to yes, the call is treated as a modem call. The ATA 190 tunes VAD, Jitter buffer, and echo canceler automatically.
