ATA190 and Motorola DECT Phone issue

Hi,

I have the problem that a DECT phone behind a ATA190 does ring poorly. The ringtone is delayed, than it stops ringing, than it starts again after 5 seconds. Than the display goes into onhook mode. When you hook off you got the call.

It seems that the ringing signal issnĀ“t recognized correctly from the DECT phone.

Any Ideas?

Cisco analogue gateways (ATA & VGs) don't tend to emit the required voltage (-48V) for ringing. Many devices are quite tolerant of this bad behavior by Cisco, but occasionally you find devices (Such as your Motorola DECT base station) that are a little bit more sensitive to ringing voltage.
