Authentification 802.1X + Third Party Certification for encryption + CUCM 8.5 & Ipphone 6961

Hi ,

I have just installed and configured CUCM 8.5 and i 'm using the following items :

1-  Cisco Ipphones 6961

2- Cisco Switchs 2960 Poe

The customer want to implement the following items for security :

1- Authentification 802.1X  for the Ipphones   ( the customer has a radius server ).

2- for encryption, the customer has a PKI server for generate certification.

For my self, i never configured those security items .  Please could someone help me how resolve this issue.

This is one of the most thorny topics I'm aware of for CUCM. Your best bet is to start with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Security Guide, Release 8.5(1). You will also need at least two of the admin tokens; now is the time to order them if you haven't already. Reply back with the list of questions you have after reading that doc and we'll try to fill in the gaps. I highly recommend figuring this out in the lab first.
