I work for a company who install nursecall systems, the care home I'm working in has Cisco IP 7961 phones and they would like their phones to activate our system when the phone rings.
The 7961 has an AUX port and I was wondering if we could connect a relay to that or if it has a clean set of contacts which I could directly connect to.
Do you know if that's possible? And if so, which pins should I connect to?

Keith,
The AUX port on the 7961 is a basic 3 wire RS232 for connection to expansion button modules like 7914s
IE// Add more line or speed-dial buttons
It does not have any on/off lines or power , just TXD,RXD & GND
Regards,
Alex.
