Hello, community.
Recently customer asked me if it's possible to implement following scenario?
1) employee is on active call
2) employee's boss calls him
3) CUCM discover that call from boss has "higher" priority than current employee's session and during several seconds put current session on hold and connects employee with his boss
Customer currently uses CUCM 6.1 but nearest future will upgrade to 8.0. So the Q relates to both version.

Andy,
The only method of automatically overriding an existing call is MLPP, which is available in both CuCM and CME.
MLPP is based on a military concept to allow priority users to gain access to limited resources.
It is documented here:-
CuCM 6.1
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/6_1_1/ccmcfg/b02mlppd.html
CME (for others)
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmemlpp.html#wp1342853
If this is for one or two users it is probably more user friendly to put a second line appearance on the users phone set to allows ring. Then give the 'boss' special priority numbers to ring. You could even put these numbers in partitions that normal users can not ring.
