Hi,
How I can calculate bandwidth requirenemnt for call signaling and TFTP for remote Site using cucm, Unity, Contact Centre on the Cloud?
Thanks,

Hi Hamed,
It depends the encapsulation used to send/receive packets but for SCCP/SIP signaling I always assume the10% bandwith use for RTP as a guideline for the signaling bandwith.
When you're running TFTP there's not way to assume a amount of bandwith because the phones always will try to download the files as fast as they can because is a application not just signaling. Remember TFTP is on the application layer:
OSI model |
---|
7. Application layer |
6. Presentation layer |
5. Session layer |
4. Transport layer |
3. Network layer |
2. Data link layer |
1. Physical layer |

Hi Leo,
Thank you for your reply.
If the UC solution is on the cloud, I do not need to consider RTP as it runs between users in this case.
For TFTP fair enogh, I agree with you but how much bandwidth exactly CUCM uses for signaling per Call?
Thanks,
Hamed Monfared
