Hello,
I need to BAT in a service on a large number of phones. If button #4 was a serviceURL button how can I BAT in a particular service?
Thanks,
Randall

Hi Randall
You have to do these steps for each Device Type you're using. As always you should do this on a test phone befor doing it on all devices.
1. Create a Phone Button Temlpate which matches your needs.
You can do this under: Device -> Device Settings -> Phone Button Template
2. Create a Phone Template which has the correct Service assigned.
You can do this under: Bulk Administration -> Phones -> Phone Template
You could also fully configure the phone which can make adding new phone much more easy.
3. Create a Bulk Job which assigns the Phone Button Template and the Services from the Phone Template
Be sure to have ticked the following fields:
Device Information
- Phone Button Template
Assign IP Phone Serices
- Add all services from this template
- Remove Duplicate
Cheers

Thanks!
I figured it out shortly afterwards. On the template I added SURL to the button and then specified the service.
That worked for me.

This only works if all of your phones share a common configuration, correct?
I.e., Take two 7965's for example, where one phone has a PBT of 1 Line 5 Speed and then other is 2 Line 4 Speed. You would have to have two phone templates and two different BAT jobs. One with a new PBT of 1 Line 1 SURL 3 Speed and one with 2 Line 1 SURL 2 Speed.
That's just one small example. What if you had the new fancy Invididual PBT on your phones? Now you have no idea what to "reset" the PBT to.
