Beep Tone before the auto-answer in 6921 IP Phone

Hi Everyone,

I am using 6921 & 7945 IP Phone models and configured Auto-Answer with Headset.

CM Version is 7.1.329.

When a call is auto-answered in IP Phone Model 7945, I listen to a small Beep Tone before the call gets answered.But in 6921 Model, its not.

Acutally, I would like to enable this beep feature in 6921. To my knowledge I explored most of the options in the communication manager & release notes till 9.0.3 firmware.

Can anyone help me in this,

Kumar,

69xx series phone doesn't support Auto Answer with Headset Beep
notification, until firmware 9.1.1

I verifed the release notes of the mentioned version.I could not find this in the new features list. I am not sure whether its a right document or not.

Can you please share the URL of the release notes ?

This is not a new feature but more a bug fix.

This feature is already described at : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/6921_6941_6961/8_0/english/user/guide/book/callfeat.html#wp1018762

but it was not working.

Please upgrade the phone firmware to 9.1.1 or 9.1.1SR1 and you will get the beep tone.

Thanks for the help.

I am not finding the right release-note document which says that the Beep Tone Feature will be activated in the 69xx models for the Auto-Answer Functionality.Without this document, I cannot apply for the change request to test this.

Anyway I am still searching for this document.
